Whole sides are perfect for a family, party, or other special events. Whole sides range greatly, but we will be selecting sides ranging from 1.5 to 3.0 pounds., or Silver Salmon, with its orange-red flesh, firm texture and delicate flavor, is an excellent choice for any cooking method but often considered the best salmon for grilling. Great for making the favorite Hawaiian dish, poke. Also, whole sides are more affordable per pound than their corresponding fillet portions so if you have a family or event, these are perfect for your wallet and your families health!

Whole sides range from 1.5 - 3.0 lbs. Expect to see roughly 2-4 whole sides in the 5-pound share; roughly 5-7 vacuumed sealed whole sides in the 10-pound share; and roughly 7-11 whole sides in the 15-pound share.

Fillet portions range between 0.6 - 1.1 lbs. Expect to see roughly 5-8 packages in the 5 pound share; 11-16 packages in the 10 pound share and; 17-23 packages in the 15 pound share.

The largest and most elusive of the the five pacific salmon species, also known as Chinook, these salmon are prized for their color, their buttery, succulent flavor and texture, as well as over 50% more Omega-3’s than the Coho or Sockeye salmon species. The fishers and fisher’s wives favorite of all the five pacific salmon species.

*Note: You are in luck! We still have some winter 2023 inventory which allows us to offer a spring share for king salmon this year. Winter-caught king salmon is really a succulent delicacy, that’s all there is to it. Extra fat reserves from winter-foraged herring and squid give these kings an added omega-3 boost. They are extra buttery and velvety. We keep the fish extra chilly at -10 to -35F so they’re just as tasty as always.

Fillets portions range between 0.8-1.2 lbs. each. Expect to see roughly 5-7 packages in the 5 pound share; 10-14 packages in the 10 pound share, and; 15-21 packages in the 15 pound share.

These sweet, lobster-like shrimp are caught in pots (not a bottom trawl operation like many shrimping boats). Although Lynn has participated in this fishery, he does not have a permit and therefore does not currently catch these. They will be sourced in 2023 from Capt. Jerry Dahl on the F/V Rebel Isle out of Lynn’s home port of Petersburg.

We’re never exactly sure how to start describing this one-of-a-kind item. Sablefish is possibly our most favorite fish out of Alaska because of its umami flavor, and smoking it over Alder woods really takes it to the next level. Luscious? Yes. Smokey? Yes. Rich and savory? Yes and yes. Some folks in Alaska describe these hot smoked strips as the “bacon of the sea” and everyone we have shared it with agrees. Hot smoked sablefish is the easier although slightly less decadent to the our cold smoked product. Just thaw and its ready to eat! We regularly use it as a bacon replacement on BLT’s, eggs benedict, salad toppings, soups (miso) and chowders, charcuterie boards, etc.

Packages of the hot smoked sablefish strips are roughly 0.5 pounds with between 4-7 strips in each package. Expect to see roughly 6 vacuumed sealed packages in a 3-pound share; and, roughly 12 vacuumed sealed packages in a 6-pound share.

Possibly the only place in VT to have this unbelievable product. Try it and your life might be changed forever.

Similar in flavor to its cousin (our hot smoked sablefish), this cold smoked product is seafood lover’s dream. With its lightly smoked flavor, these fillet portions are more luscious, sit-down-meal-type experience and less of an appetizer or snack. Even though it has been smoked, this cold smoked sablefish will need to be cooked beforehand. We usually bake a fillet portion at 400 degrees until it splits open slightly and rich juices begin to flow. Perfect dinner meal for someone who is looking for something incredibly rich in omega-3s, but also goes great with boiled, baked or mashed potatoes.

Packages of the cold smoked sablefish fillet portions range between 0.5 and 0.9 pounds. Expect to see roughly 4-6 vacuumed sealed packages in a 3-pound share; and, roughly 8-11 vacuumed sealed packages in a 6-pound share.

If you are looking for the best white fish with the highest Omega-3s, search no more! A Japanese secret for years, this fish has begun creeping into the US food scene and for good reason - it's amazing! Higher omega-3 content than King salmon, this white fish is supremely moist, and packed with umami. It’s just decadent.

In fall of 2023, this fish came off the F/V Kruzof, a top-class, hook-n-line fishing vessel and is processed by the same folks that handle all of our own seafood.

Start enjoying mud season with crab! Think crab cakes, crab rangoon, crab salad, crab stew or even just crab dipped in butter. These crabs are easy to cook - just steam them form 15-20 minutes, then shuck and enjoy this sweet meat. We have converted many New Englanders away from blue crab to these beauties. So much more meat for half the work! These are offered by popular demand and were procured in 2023 from the crabbers in Lynn’s homeport fleet of Petersburg.
